Mars Petcare had a playful challenge: create a high-impact in-store and digital campaign to drive purchases of Temptations® treats through an interactive offer featuring the “Snacky Mouse” toy—a wobbling, treat-dispensing cat toy. The objective? Engage cat owners across multiple touchpoints, build brand affinity, and boost sales through a proof-of-purchase redemption program.

Design Highlight: Disruptive In-Store POS
To stand out on crowded retail shelves, Orbit designed a two-tiered in-store system: a standard corrugate bookshelf display paired with a whimsical, three-dimensional mouse-shaped header mimicking the Snacky Mouse toy itself. The unexpected scale and shape of the display stopped shoppers in their tracks while reinforcing the tactile, play-driven nature of the promotion.
Orbit also developed the packaging for the reward itself—a playful, branded box that housed the two Snacky Mouse toys consumers would receive by mail. The design extended the tone and visual language of the campaign, reinforcing delight at every touchpoint—from shelf to doorstep.

Design Highlight: Full-Funnel Digital Campaign
Orbit translated the energy and clarity of the in-store campaign into digital with a seamless user journey. We designed a custom microsite where consumers could upload their receipts to claim their Snacky Mouse toys, supported by a branded email campaign that explained the offer and guided users through the process. A series of social media assets were also developed—promoting the campaign, simplifying the steps, and driving engagement across platforms.
The result was a cohesive, cross-platform experience that removed friction and amplified participation.

Business Impact
The Snacky Mouse campaign became an unexpected hit with both pet owners and the client team. Year one results were strong enough to greenlight a repeat in year two—and by year three, Orbit was tasked with creating a holiday-themed version to align with gifting season, helping Temptations® extend their sales momentum into Q4.
What started as a promotional offer became a brand-building platform—proving that creative done right doesn’t just grab attention, it delivers results.
